“Pawsitive” Alternatives for Shelter Surrenders

The decision to rehome a pet can be a difficult one. Though WAIF offers safe haven for cats and dogs, owners often may choose to rehome pets on their own and directly meet potential adopters. This can also help keep pets out of shelters which allows resources to go to the most vulnerable dogs and cats in need.

In an effort to help families and individuals who need to rehome a pet –
WAIF offers two rehoming resources for pet owners:

Pets featured on these platforms are not at WAIF facilities. WAIF is not responsible for any health conditions or behavior issues the animal may have. WAIF reserves the right to delete postings that indicate breeding operations and/or utilizing this courtesy service to sell pets for profit.
