Prevent-A-Litter Assistance Program
WAIF’s PAL Program was created to assist qualified low-income pet owners with financial assistance with spay/neuter veterinary experiences. Funded entirely by generous donors, this program is designed to reduce the overpopulation of unwanted pets.
Since funding is limited, coupons are only issued to qualified Whidbey Island households. To qualify, adjusted annual income must be below the maximum income threshold.
Household Size and Maximum Income Threshold
Family of 1 | Family of 2 | Family of 3 | Family of 4 | Family of 5 | Family of 6 |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
$52,850 | $60,400 | $67,950 | $75,500 | $81,550 | $87,600 |
Coupons provide up to $150 in financial assistance for spay/neuter surgeries with participating local veterinarians. Coupons are not retroactive to cover past spay/neuter surgeries. Please call your veterinarian to make an appointment first and contact us at our front desk at (360) 678-8901 to learn how to apply for assistance.
We do not ask for proof of income to affirm a need for financial assistance. If you feel you can pay for the operation out of your funds, we thank you for not using the funds available so that we may assist the next pet owner in financial hardship. We appreciate your cooperation.
