Koba AKA Romaine

First off, I want to say thank you to everyone at WAIF for everything you do for all the kitties! My husband and I moved to Oak Harbor from Norfolk, Virginia for the Navy. Both growing up as animal lovers, we were both eager yet hesitant to bring a furry friend home. After doing some research we came across WAIF and decided to pay a visit “just to look.” We were very adamant about just looking and we weren’t bringing anything home. Once we got inside all of that went out the door when Romaine (who has since been renamed to Koba) came out of his sleeping spot in the cat tower. Without hesitation he was purring and very friendly. We instantly fell in love with him right there and knew he had to be ours. We came a little too close to closing. So, we spent the rest of the afternoon making sure all the paperwork was ready to go for the next morning. We were so excited to bring him home that my husband left to get Koba on his lunch break. Since we brought him home, he has grown into such an amazing cat. Koba weighs a healthy 11 lbs. He’s definitely a character and will keep you very entertained. His favorite food is tuna, and his favorite thing to do is sun bathe. He now lives with one other cat and they have the best relationship. I still cannot thank WAIF enough for giving my husband and me the best fur baby!
