Special needs kitty Cosmo came to WAIF in October of 2023. Here, he was treated for seizures and provided with love and enrichment for almost a year and a half, making him one of our longest resident shelter cats. Fortunately, this handsome boy found his perfect adoption match in April of 2025! Here’s what his adopter had to say about their life together:

Hello,

I am just finally getting around to dropping you a note to let you know how Cosmo is doing. He has adapted well to my home. He couldn’t care less about his cat tree, but likes to perch on the kitchen cabinets. He is playful, but does not get too rough as long as I keep his nails clipped. He has gotten comfortable with sitting on my lap when I am on the couch, which I never would have imagined at first. His health has been normal, so the meds are working. I also found him some treats he can digest, so he is thrilled with that. Of course he still loves the laser pointer.
