DAF Giving
Donor Advised Funds (DAF) giving is a flexible way to support charities by contributing assets to a special account, taking an immediate tax deduction, and recommending grants to nonprofits over time.
You give money or assets to a public charity that runs the fund, and you get an immediate tax break for that year. The money stays in the account, grows tax-free, and you can recommend giving parts of it to your favorite nonprofits whenever you are ready.
How a DAF Works
- Contribute: You put cash, stock, or other property into the fund.
- Grow: The money is invested and can grow tax-free over time.
- Grant: You tell the fund when and where to send donations to qualified charities.
