Look who’s going home!

The days are getting shorter, which means it’s the perfect time of year to bring home a pet to snuggle! We saw a number of happy adoptions throughout the month of October. Meet a few WAIF animals who went home this month.

We wrapped up Pit Bull Awareness and Appreciation Month with another pit bull adoption! Friendly, 2-year-old pup Mars went home after spending almost a year at our shelter. Though he will be very missed by our shelter staff, we were delighted to see how happy Mars looked with his adopter. In the photo above, Mars says goodbye to his WAIF caretakers.

Speedy went home from our Oak Harbor Cat Adoption Center after 7 weeks in our care. At just 4 months old, this little girl is sure to bring lots of kitten energy and fun to her new household!

Kevin found his home quickly! This sweet, 6-month-old puppy spent only 2 weeks with us at WAIF, but we won’t soon forget this adorable little guy. We wish him the best with his loving new family.

Thank you to everyone who made room in their lives, homes and hearts for a WAIF shelter animal this month. We couldn’t do our lifesaving work without adopters!
