Vesper AKA Piñata
Hello WAIF Team,
We want to thank y’all for sending the adoption anniversary card for our baby. Piñata, now Vesper, is doing wonderfully. She gets plenty of sunshine, tasty food 3 times per day, and play time. We fully transitioned her to wet food only, and it’s completely solved her IBS issues. Our goal is to feed her raw food at least 1 meal per day by the end of the year if we can afford the time/money.
She’s absolutely beautiful, our Superstar Snuggle Bee Baby, and fit as a fiddle! After several months she stopped love biting and only has the strongest of head bonks and licks to show her affection. After learning how to trim her claws once, she does a great job keeping them under control on her own.
Six months ago, the front door jostled open on a wet Monday morning with the collection trucks operating. We didn’t realize for at least 15 minutes. We searched the house, our yard, and street. We couldn’t find our poor baby anywhere! Then as I’m heading in the garage to get my car keys, I see our little tailless baby in the front bushes hiding again. Leaving the garage open, I call Sabine back home. And inside runs Vesper meowing at the door! She was just curious, and knew where her home is by inside immediately. The front door issue is now fixed, and her response to come inside was beautiful despite our worry.
We went on a small vacation 11 months ago, and she was wonderfully behaved for her sitter. While she plays with her several dozen toys, her feathers on strings birdie flying around the room or bunny kicking her big wool crazy mouse are her favorites. She is even learning to handle a harness and lead for short little supervised trips outside!
Thank you all,
Robyn and Sabine
