About Zuma
UPDATE: Zuma was moved to our transfer partner, The Pittie Project, for focused one-on-one training with future placement into a loving foster home.
Zuma has quite a story of resilience. Several months ago, he was among a group of dogs rescued from a suspected dogfighting situation. At the time, they were underweight and in need of medical care. Since arriving at the shelter, Zuma has received the treatment, nutrition, and attention he needed—and he’s made an incredible recovery. He is now healthy, has gained weight, and has passed his behavior assessment.
Today, Zuma is a friendly, energetic, and playful dog with a handsome tan coat and a bright outlook. He’s ready to leave his past behind and discover what life is like in a loving, stable home.
Zuma would do best in a home with no children under 10 and no other dogs. With the right environment and guidance, he has all the potential to become a loyal and joyful companion.
