Hometown Heroes Book
Hometown Heroes Volume 2 is the second collection of interviews by Susan Knickerbocker. The interviews were originally published in the South Whidbey Record from 1995-2020. They showcase South Whidbey residents who could be role models for the rest of us and inspire each of us to be our best selves within the community.
Volume 2 offers 53 touching profiles of our friends and neighbors in a beautiful coffee table book format, enhanced with illustrations from South Whidbey students. All of the proceeds go to local non-profits including WAIF. It truly is a book from the community for the community!
“You will know a person’s character by how they treat someone they don’t need” – Hometown Hero Judy Dewing (WAIF employee too!)
