About Magnolia

Magnolia, through no fault of her own, was brought to WAIF as a surrender. We could tell immediately that she wasn’t properly trained or socialized. In fact, we found her a bit skittish and timid. Overcoming a shelter environment, we’re sure she was overwhelmed. Despite these challenges, and under the guidance of our dog trainer, experienced staff, and compassionate volunteers, we believe she’s ready to move on from her shelter surroundings into a new home. Her new family should be willing to continue her socializing to build her confidence and trust, and her adopters should realize this will not happen overnight. Patience and love are what is needed most in a calming home environment. To help her with her socialization, we think Magnolia would love to have another dog friend to “show her the ropes.” Her adoption process will include a few visitations to gauge her comfort levels and ease her anxieties prior to finalizing the adoption. We want to make sure the match is the right one and the last one she’ll ever need.

Magnolia is 13 months old and a Husky/German Shepherd mix. When she gets comfortable with you, she is friendly, playful, sweet, gentle, and energetic. Magnolia is reportedly housebroken. She weighs 39 lb. but probably still has some growing to do.
