This sweet senior “grandma cat” just wants to be someone’s lapcat! Her favorite things are catnip, napping, and treats. When the catnip comes out, Lucy starts drooling with joy. Playful at times, she loves to be petted. She can be a bit grumpy at times if you dare to cross her boundaries but after you get to know her, you realize that she always lets you know if you are getting into that red zone. Lucy will do well in a home where she is the only pet. She may be ok with an older easygoing kitty. Lucy’s coat may initially appear black but when the light hits it, you will realize that it has a lovely reddish cast.
Back in the late 1950’s a show called “I Love Lucy” was a television favorite. At WAIF’s Oak Harbor cat adoption center, we have a cat named Lucy and we love her too so we created her very own video. Lucy is a beautiful senior kitty whose coat may appear black but it actually has a red tint. (The Lucy on I Love Lucy was a redhead too!) We think that you will see that she is very affectionate and in fact she loves nothing better than curling up in a cozy lap for some petting and a snooze. Lucy is also very fond of catnip and kitty treats. Lucy will be a great companion in a loving home where she is the only pet. Learn more about the Lucy that we love on her webpage at https://waifanimals.org/cat/lucy/ or give the cat adoption center a call at (360) 678-8900 ext 1300.
