About Ardeth

Five Years a Shelter Cat: Do you remember where you were 5 years ago? We know where Ardeth was in October of 2015. She was settling in as a shelter cat at WAIF. Although she is very well cared for at the Freeland cat cottage, we would love to see this very long time resident settled into a loving home. The folks at the cat cottage tell us she is a diamond in the rough and they believe she would do great in the right home. We do acknowledge that like many cats, she does have her share of quirks. Her favorite things are eating and napping. In addition, she likes to spend time with people she knows. Judy tells us Ardeth likes to keep her company while she’s doing paperwork at the desk and also sit next to her on the bench. She has her playful moments and will dash about chasing the red dot from a laser pointer. Ardeth is also independent and when an impertinent stranger invades her personal space by trying to pet her, she may just give them a good swat. She has a gorgeous torti coat with a lot of orange highlights and her eyes are a beautiful emerald green. Now a senior, Ardeth is on a special diet to maintain urinary tract health. We’re not sure why Ardeth has not yet found a home. She is much loved by WAIF staff and volunteers and is very much deserving of a loving home. A lovely torti, Ardeth was surrendered after she did not do well with a new baby in the family. She is sweet natured and friendly. This kitty has lived indoors only. She reportedly gets along with dogs. We believe she will do best in a home with no children under 10 years of age.
